Shell LiveWIRE: Helping startups scale up and grow

Be a part of Shell LiveWIRE’s Acceleration Program in 2023

Launched in the Philippines in 2020, Shell LiveWIRE has been instrumental in providing support to startups and entrepreneurs to scale their businesses. To date, it has created more than 400 jobs for Filipinos, and integrated 12 businesses into the Shell value chain.

Through its mentorship and training sessions, startups and community enterprises have realized their social vision, gained relevant industry knowledge, and built a strong business network. For instance, farmers-turned-entrepreneurs created their own website which they use to promote their products while a women’s cooperative now utilizes a business model canvas and develops fund-generating Partnerships.

Moreover, Shell LiveWIRE’s Top Ten Innovators rewards impactful and innovative business ideas in a global competition. This year’s notable innovators include the following Filipino entrepreneurs: Dr. Jerome Palaganas who won first place in the Business Innovation category for Nanotronics’ production of nanomaterials from indigenous plants as an alternative to plastic packaging; Henry James Sison who won second-runner-up in the Social Impact Category for Agro-Digital PH’s end-to-end digital marketplace and value chain training to help smallholder farmers sell and manage their products; and Don Pansacola who won Second Runner-up for Next Pay’s small businesses tools that help Filipino enterprises scale by automating processes to send, manage, and receive money.

Their impact demonstrates Shell LiveWIRE’s capacity to support individuals driving meaningful employment and local prosperity in their own communities.
